GKL Krems-Langenlois head into the 2025/26 season in the WHA Meisterliga, Austria's top women's handball division, in April 2025.

That history runs through two towns rather than one. The women's side is a Spielgemeinschaft between Moser Medical UHK Krems and USV Langenlois, an arrangement formalised in 2012 specifically to give women's handball a footing in the Waldviertel. The men's sections of both clubs go back much further, to the 1940s.

The team plays out of the Sporthalle Langenlois. The WHA Challenge title is the club's first recorded honour, and reaching the Meisterliga is still new ground rather than a return to it.
