The Bundessport- und Freizeitzentrum Südstadt in Maria Enzersdorf holds 1,200 people.
Founded in 1972, Hypo Niederösterreich did not become dominant immediately, but once it started winning the Austrian Championship in 1977, it did not stop until 2019 — 42 consecutive titles. Domestically it has since added six more league titles and rebuilt an Austrian Cup collection that now runs past thirty.
Between 2011 and 2014 the club ran a formal partnership with the Brazilian Handball Confederation.
The 42-year streak ended in 2019, when WAT Atzgersdorf beat Hypo NÖ in the championship final.
