Between 2010 and 2013, the club's cadet side lifted the Croatian Cadet Championship three times, in 2009/10, 2011/12 and 2012/13.
The club itself, run under the association ŽRK "Zrinski" Čakovec registered in August 2008, grew out of an earlier side that had played as RK Tegra Čakovec. The "Zrinskice", as they are known locally, wear red and play their home matches in the Dvorana GOC-a, also called the Sports Hall of the Construction School, on Športska ulica.
What Zrinski have not done is win at senior level. No national championship, no Croatian Cup, sits alongside those cadet titles from over a decade ago.
