St George's Park opened in 2012 with a capacity of 200. This figure applies specifically to the viewing gallery of the indoor third-generation football pitch.

The playing surfaces tell the story of modern preparation. The main areas, including Pitch Six, feature hybrid Desso GrassMaster surfaces, while the indoor facilities use a third-generation material. Five of the outdoor pitches are equipped with undersoil heating, ensuring the surface remains playable regardless of the British winter.

The layout of the park is functional. A gravel path winds through the greenery, leading towards the practice areas. The grounds are kept pristine, with the grass cut short for optimal ball roll. The orange flag on the indoor pitch marks the hole, a small detail that signals the seriousness of the work being done here. It is a place where England’s national teams—men’s, women’s, and youth—train in isolation from the distractions of the wider world.

While the main stadium hosts no regular matches, the grounds have seen international visitors. Clubs such as FC Barcelona and AS Monaco have used the facility for camps, bringing their own standards to the training fields. The venue also hosted five group stage matches of the UEFA European Under-17 Championship in 2018, proving that the surface can handle competitive play when required. The attendance record for a match here is 250 spectators, set during a friendly between the England and U.S. Power Soccer National Teams in 2025.
