The CONCACAF Caribbean Club Championship, previously known as the CFU Club Championship, operated as the premier regional football tournament for club sides affiliated with the Caribbean Football Union. Established in 1997, the competition served as the definitive pathway for clubs from the Caribbean to reach continental stages. It functioned as a regional qualifier within the broader CONCACAF structure, offering direct entry to the continental championships.

The tournament format underwent several transformations throughout its existence. Early editions relied heavily on knockout structures, but organizers shifted towards centralized group stages in 2006 to streamline proceedings. By the final years, the event featured eight teams comprising champions and runners-up from Jamaica, Trinidad and Tobago, Haiti, and the Dominican Republic. These teams were divided into two groups before advancing to one-legged semi-finals and a final. This structure aimed to balance competitive integrity with logistical feasibility across island nations.

Success in the competition was shared among several clubs. W Connection holds the record for the most titles won, securing the trophy three times during the tournament's lifespan. Other clubs achieved multiple victories, demonstrating the competitive depth of the region. The inaugural edition was won by United Petrotrin, setting a precedent for subsequent winners.

The competition concluded in 2022, having been abolished and replaced by the CONCACAF Caribbean Cup. Violette AC claimed the title in the final year of operation. The tournament was distinct in its regional focus, limiting participation to CFU member associations rather than including clubs from North and Central America. It also differed from domestic league structures by operating as a cup-style contest to determine a regional champion.
