Coppa Italia Femminile is the primary knockout cup for women’s football in Italy. Organized by the Italian Football Federation (FIGC), it serves as the secondary domestic trophy behind the Serie A Femminile title. The tournament was established in 1971, following an earlier competition run by a separate federation in 1970 that lacks official recognition.
Twenty-six clubs participate in the current format. All ten teams from the top flight and sixteen from the second tier qualify automatically. Seeding relies on a merit ranking derived from results in the previous season. The competition begins with a preliminary round involving the lowest-ranked sides. This is followed by a Round of 32 and a Round of 16, both played as single-leg matches hosted by the lower-ranked team. Quarter-finals and semi-finals are contested over two legs, with the higher-ranked side hosting the return fixture. The final is played as a single match at a neutral venue.
The winner earns a place in the Supercoppa Italiana Femminile against the Serie A champion. This cup differs from the Supercoppa, which is a single-match fixture contested exclusively by the previous season’s league and cup winners. The competition is currently titled sponsored by Trenitalia’s high-speed rail service as the Coppa Italia Femminile Frecciarossa.
Juventus Women hold the current trophy after their victory in the 2024–25 edition. SSD Torres is the most successful club in the competition's history with eight titles. Other notable winners include Lazio CF with four titles and several clubs with three titles each.
