About

The Bosnia and Herzegovina Football Cup stands as the primary national knockout competition within the football pyramid of Bosnia and Herzegovina. Organized by the Football Association of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the tournament operates under a unified structure established in 2000. Before this consolidation, the country saw three separate entity-specific cups running from 1992 until 2000.

The competition is open to clubs from all levels of the Bosnian football pyramid. This includes clubs from the top-tier Premier League of Bosnia and Herzegovina as well as those from the second-tier entity leagues, specifically the First League of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the First League of the Republika Srpska. The tournament proper features 32 teams, with selection coming from qualifiers that involve lower-league clubs.

Matches are played over two legs, combining home and away fixtures for all rounds including the final. Winning the cup brings significant rewards. The victor qualifies for the UEFA Europa Conference League second qualifying round. Additionally, the winner earns a place in the Bosnian Supercup, a single-match contest played against the Premier League champion.

FK Sarajevo holds the record for the most titles, having won the competition eight times. Their victories came in the years 1997, 1998, 2002, 2005, 2014, 2019, 2021 and most recently in 2025. Currently, HŠK Zrinjski Mostar holds the title after securing the 2023–24 season and the 2024–25 season. This national cup differs from entity-level competitions which are restricted to clubs within specific regions, and from the Premier League which is a league-format competition for top-tier clubs only.
