The Kings Cup is a seven-a-side football tournament held in Brazil. It operates outside the traditional pyramid managed by the Confederação Brasileira de Futebol. The competition was established in 2025 by Gerard Piqué through his company Kosmos Holding. It functions as a private, entertainment-focused event rather than a sporting fixture linked to official promotion or qualification.
The 2025 season included ten teams. Participants featured Furia FC, Funkbol, Fluxo, Loud, Capim FC, Real Elite, G3X, Nyvelados, Dendele, and Desimpedidos. The schedule followed a round-robin group stage. The top eight teams advanced to single-leg knockout playoffs. Matches last 40 minutes and utilise modified rules to enhance spectacle. These include secret cards and a golden goal rule if the score remains level after 38 minutes. A "President's Penalty" is taken by the celebrity owner of each team. Players wear numbers from one to seven.
Furia FC won the inaugural edition in 2025. They defeated G3X in the final at Allianz Parque. Neymar presided over Furia. The 2026 title was claimed by Desimpedidos, managed by Desimpain. They also beat G3X in the championship match. Both clubs hold one title. No team has retained the cup.
The tournament is broadcast on YouTube and Twitch. It has partnerships with brands such as Adidas. It does not offer a pathway to the Copa Libertadores or the first division of Brazilian football. The format distinguishes it from the Copa do Brasil, which serves the official national cup structure for 11-a-side traditional clubs. The competition remains an independent parallel entity focused on digital engagement and entertainment.
