Paraibano (Brazil) 2026/27

Campeonato Paraibano is the premier state football league in Paraíba, Brazil, established in 1908. The competition operates under the Federação Paraibana de Futebol, which took over from the original Liga Parahybana de Football in 1947. It functions as a regional tier below the national Série A–D structure, serving as a gateway for clubs to reach the fourth national division.

The 2026 season involves ten teams competing in a single round-robin format during the initial phase. The top four sides progress to two-legged semi-finals and a final to determine the champion. The league also dictates promotion and relegation, with the bottom two teams dropping to the Second Division while two others ascend. Additionally, the top three clubs not already qualified for national competition earn places in Série D.

Botafogo-PB holds the record for success, having won the title 31 times. Campinense follows with 22 victories, and Treze has claimed 17. The current champion, Botafogo-PB, secured the 2026 edition. Historically, the tournament has faced disruptions, including suspensions in 1922, 1930, and 1951, as well as shared titles in 1975 and 1985 due to legal issues. A notable record remains the 16–1 win by Botafogo in 1941, while Campinense achieved six consecutive titles between 1960 and 1965.

The league features the 'Clássico dos Maiorais' rivalry between Treze and Campinense from Campina Grande. Competitions outside the main league include the Copa Paraíba, which offers eliminated teams a route to the Copa do Brasil.
