Second League (Montenegro) 2026/27

Second League is the second tier of professional football in Montenegro. It sits directly below the Montenegrin First League and above the regionalised Third League. The competition operates as a single national division, which distinguishes it from the third tier.

Founded in 2006 by the Football Association of Montenegro, the league replaced federal structures following the country's independence. The standard format involves 10 teams playing a double round-robin schedule. Historically, the competition ran with 12 participants until the 2017–18 season, after which it was reduced to 10.

Promotion and relegation mechanics are specific. The champion gains direct promotion to the top flight. The second and third-placed teams enter a playoff against the eighth and ninth-placed sides from the First League. Conversely, the bottom two teams are directly relegated to the Montenegrin Third League.

FK Bokelj holds the record for the most titles with three wins. Other multiple winners include FK Jedinstvo, FK Dečić, and FK Mladost Danilovgrad, each securing two championships. The current reigning champion is OFK Mladost Donja Gorica.

The league is officially sponsored by Meridianbet. It is known as the Meridianbet 2. CFL. The official website for the competition is https://fscg.me/takmicenja/druga-liga.
