The Armenian Supercup, officially the Hakob Tonoyan Memorial Supercup, is a single-match football fixture that opens the domestic calendar. Organized by the Football Federation of Armenia (FFA), the contest pits the champion of the Armenian Premier League against the victor of the Armenian Cup. The match usually takes place in May or early autumn, though variations occur depending on European commitments. If the same club secures both league and cup honours, the league runner-up typically steps in to play, a scenario recorded in 2003, 2005, 2010, 2011, 2015, and 2023. Decisions are drawn by penalty shootouts after 90 minutes, although extra time has been played in certain historical editions.
Pyunik leads the competition with ten victories, while Shirak has claimed six titles. Alashkert and Mika have won three and two matches respectively. The current holder is Noah, who secured the trophy after defeating Ararat-Armenia 1–1 in March 2026, winning the subsequent penalty shootout 4–2. The event carries ceremonial weight rather than the prestige of the league or cup championships. It was established in 1996 and bears the name of Hakob Tonoyan, a former FFA president. Notable irregularities include the 2022 edition, where Pyunik received the trophy without playing following the bankruptcy of the cup winner, Noravank.
