Always Ready and Real Potosí played out a 1:1 draw in the fifteenth round of the Apertura tournament on Saturday evening. The result keeps the hosts in second place with thirty-six points and leaves the visitors seventh on twenty-five. Both sides had created one big chance each, but neither could find a winner after ninety minutes.
I. Cardenas saw yellow in the twenty-eighth minute before J. Rojas followed in the thirty-fifth, and by then the match had settled into a measured rhythm. E. Triverio broke the deadlock in the fifty-third minute, capitalising on a moment of clarity after Always Ready had moved the ball into the final third. The hosts kept their heads and went forward, though Real Potosí weathered the storm with a compact shape.
The turning point came in the seventy-third minute when F. Supayabe received a red card for Always Ready, and to be fair the visitors took advantage of the numerical edge. J. Rivas equalised in the ninetieth minute, and the drama continued as he too picked up a booking. The game was always going to be decided by moments, and this one belonged to Real Potosí despite having less possession.
Both managers turned to their benches heavily in the second half. Always Ready made nine changes including R. Lima, L. Ali, and B. Condori in quick succession, while Real Potosí brought on J. Rojas twice in the eighty-seventh minute. G. Anasgo came on in stoppage time as Always Ready pushed for a win they could not quite secure.
Always Ready dominated possession at sixty-five per cent and registered seventeen shots, but only six were on target. Real Potosí were second to everything in possession but managed four shots on target from ten attempts. Both teams created one big chance each, and the goalkeeper saves—three for the hosts, five for the visitors—told the story of a match where chances went begging.
The draw means Always Ready remain in second place, two points behind the leaders, while Real Potosí hold seventh. The hosts have won three of their last five league games, including a 4:0 victory over Universitario de Vinto, whereas the visitors showed resilience with back-to-back clean sheets against Bluming and Universitario de Vinto. Three points dropped for Always Ready, but they will know they controlled the game until the end.
