Maccabi Tel Aviv edge past struggling Netania in title charge
Maccabi Tel Aviv picked up three points away to Maccabi Netania with a 2:1 win in the fifth round of the Lигат ха-Аль. The visitors had already taken a point from the hosts at the start of the season but this time they ground out the win despite a sluggish first half. Netania started brightly and dominated possession in the opening exchanges, while Tel Aviv looked uncomfortable defending deep.
