Đorđe Đorđić's second-half strike proved decisive in a match that offered little in the way of entertainment.
The goal arrived in the sixty-fifth minute when Đorđić found space to finish. To be fair, both teams had created similar opportunities throughout the first half, but neither could find the breakthrough. Mačva's approach of sitting deep and hitting on the break suited them against a side that dominated possession without threatening.
The game was punctuated by yellow cards rather than drama. Five bookings fell to Mačva players while Radnički Niš collected four of their own. By then the pattern was clear — a cagey affair where neither side wanted to take unnecessary risks. The home side extended their recent poor run, having lost four of their previous five fixtures. Radnički Niš's draw against IMT Novi Beograd earlier this month was their only positive result in similar span.
