Jablonec secured a 2-0 victory over Pardubice in the Czech League's Regular Season round 2 on Sunday evening. The result leaves the visitors fifth in the table with 13 points, while Pardubice remain bottom with just two points from seven games.
M. Icha gave Jablonec an early lead with an own goal in the 19th minute, and J. Chramosta doubled the advantage before half-time with a strike at 45+2. Pardubice had 58 per cent possession but struggled to convert their dominance into clear opportunities.
Jablonec made seven substitutions during the second half, bringing on E. Godwin, V. Drchal, J. Chramosta, V. Patrak, S. Nebyla, M. Icha and A. Rusek. Pardubice were also forced to reshuffle their lineup as they searched for a way back into the game.
The statistics tell a story of efficiency over volume. Pardubice registered 12 shots off target and only two on target, while Jablonec were sharper with two shots on target from three attempts. The visitors created just one big chance compared to Pardubice's three, but they took theirs when it mattered.
Pardubice's recent form offers little comfort. They lost 2-1 to Hradec Králové in their last competitive match and have now gone seven games without a win. Jablonec, meanwhile, have won four of seven and are building momentum.
