Tülevik and Luunja played out a goalless draw in the Esiliiga B on Saturday, with the match ending 0:0 after a red card in the 90th minute plus two. By then the game had settled into a rhythm neither side could break, and the late dismissal only confirmed what the scoreboard already showed.
A red card at 90+2' changed nothing of substance for the result, though it added a final note of drama to an evening where chances were thin on the ground. To be fair, both sides had their moments but nothing decisive, and the visitors had already established enough control to see out the game without further incident.
The teams met just over a month ago on June 22nd and drew 2:2, so this stalemate followed a familiar pattern between them. Tülevik have been inconsistent of late — their last five matches show wins against nothing, losses to Hiiumaa and Yak Tabasalu, and that two-all draw away at Luunja.
Luunja arrived in better form, having beaten Narva U21 2:1 and put five past Tallinna Kalev II in separate outings. Their record of 14 wins from 28 games puts them fourth, while Tülevik sit seventh with 41 points, nine behind the visitors.
The point keeps both sides within striking distance of each other in the table, though Luunja remain the stronger side on paper. Fourteen wins against twelve is not much difference, but it adds up over a season — and both teams still have games to play for position.
