Vitez played out a 1-1 draw against Jedinstvo Bihać in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina first division on Friday evening. The result keeps both sides in the early stages of the campaign, with neither side able to claim a full three points despite a competitive encounter. Vitez remain adrift in tenth place while Jedinstvo sit fourth in the table.
Neven Vujica opened the scoring for the home side in the forty-fourth minute, giving Vitez a narrow advantage before the interval. Jedinstvo responded quickly after the break when Emin Trnka equalised in the fifty-seventh. The match then turned when Ali Pasic received a red card in the sixty-first, leaving his side to play with ten men for the remainder.
Vitez had entered this fixture carrying just one point from two games, having drawn once and lost once. Their previous results show a difficult start — a 0-2 defeat to Travnik followed by a goalless draw with Sloboda Tuzla. They also drew 2-2 with Buducnost Banovici and suffered losses to Sloboda Tuzla and Tomislav earlier in the season.
Jedinstvo arrived with more momentum, sitting fourth with four points from two matches. They had won 5-0 against Rudar Kakanj and shared a 2-2 draw with Cjepina in their opening games. Previous form includes two draws and two wins across their last five fixtures, suggesting a side finding its footing.
The draw means Vitez stay on one point while Jedinstvo move to five points following this result. The red card for Pasic will be a concern for Jedinstvo's management, but they managed to hold the point despite being reduced to ten men. The table remains fluid this early in the season, with positions likely to shift as more games are played.
