Vysočina Jihlava 0:1 Táborsko: FNL Match Result

Match report

Vysočina Jihlava lost 0:1 to Táborisko in the fifth round of the Czech National Football League on Friday evening. The visitors took the lead inside the first twenty minutes and held on for a result that shifts the balance in the opening weeks.

Matěj Varacka ended a barren spell for his side by converting in the eighteenth minute. To be fair, Jihlava pushed hard for an equaliser but their attacks hit a wall against a compact defence. The hosts worked the channels with varying success but could not find a clear path to goal.

By then the game had settled into a pattern of pressure without penetration. Jihlava dominated possession at sixty-six per cent yet managed only two shots on target from ninety-five attacks. Táborisko, with thirty-four per cent of the ball, were more efficient with five attempts on goal.

Discipline became a factor as the half wore on. Ondřej Blaha and Lukáš Moudry collected yellow cards in the thirty-ninth and forty-second minutes, while Branislav Labaran Khalid joined them shortly after the restart. Jihlava made five changes to their starting eleven, bringing on Martin Lacko and other options in search of a breakthrough.

The statistics tell a story of wasted energy. Sixteen shots off target for the hosts compared to six for the visitors shows where the chances went begging. One mistake ends it when a team cannot score, and Jihlava are running out of games to turn this around.

Táborisko move into a stronger position after three consecutive wins. Jihlava's run of four matches without a defeat ends here, and the table goes out of the window in these games — they need to regroup quickly.
