Jamie Vardy joins Burnley on deal until end of season
The 39-year-old forward, who left Cremonese as a free agent, signs for struggling Burnley as they sit 24th in the Championship.
Jamie Vardy has signed for Burnley on a deal running to the end of the season, joining a side with two points from four matches this season, without a win, and sitting 23rd.
He spent last season in Serie A with Cremonese, scoring seven times.
"I am delighted to join Burnley," Vardy said. "This club has a rich footballing history and passionate fans who deserve a team that represents them and their city well. I cannot wait to get out on the pitch and help the team move in the right direction."
Vardy made his name in a long spell at Leicester, with whom he won the Premier League title, and has 26 caps and seven goals for England.
At 39, the physical demands of a Championship campaign will test how much Burnley can rely on him.
