Alexei Batrakov starts for Galatasaray away at Sporting on Wednesday, making his Champions League debut in the opening round of the league phase at the Estádio José Alvalade, kick-off 22:00 Moscow time.

The 21-year-old moved from Lokomotiv to Galatasaray in the summer and had said before the switch that playing in the Champions League was the target. So far in the Süper Lig he has made just two appearances for the Turkish side without a goal or an assist. Galatasaray's squad list for the match, published by the club, left out Victor Osimhen, who was injured in the 3-2 win over İstanbul Başakşehir in round four of the league.
