Federico Chiesa considers leaving Liverpool in January
The forward has yet to play this season and wants regular minutes to earn a national team recall, so a loan or sale in January could be the likeliest route.
Federico Chiesa is considering leaving Liverpool in the January window, according to Italian outlet TuttoJuve, whose report was picked up by Transfer News Live and Yahoo Sports.
The forward has not played this season. Yahoo Sports says he has been injured since the start of the campaign and so has not had a chance to impress the new head coach, Andoni Iraola. Iraola took over after Arne Slot was relieved of his duties at the end of last season. Since joining from Juventus in the summer of 2024, Chiesa has made 50 appearances for Liverpool, mostly as a substitute under Slot.
TuttoJuve says his aim is a return to the Italy squad, and that this looks out of reach before the March 2027 fixtures. That depends on him finding regular minutes, either at Liverpool or at another club from January. The outlet puts his contract at 18 months from now. Yahoo Sports links him with a return to Juventus, but the TuttoJuve passage it quotes does not name a destination.
If Chiesa is still without a run of games by January, a loan or a sale would be the likeliest routes.
