Roberto Alvarado has agreed to a move to Spartak Moscow, Sport-Ekspress has reported, with any transfer set to be discussed by the two clubs in January.
The 27-year-old Guadalajara attacking midfielder had not refused the switch, according to the outlet, and wants to join the Moscow club. A deal failed to go through in the summer window because Guadalajara refused to sell in the middle of the season, unwilling to lose their leader.
Spartak had earlier offered around €10m for Alvarado, an offer Guadalajara turned down. Sport 24 later reported that the Mexican club would not sell for less than $20m. Transfermarkt values the player at €10m.
Alvarado has scored four goals and added an assist in six appearances for Guadalajara this season. He has previously played for Cruz Azul, Necaxa, Pachuca and Celaya.
Spartak sit fourth in the Russian Premier League after seven rounds, seven points behind leaders Zenit.
