Spartak Moscow have had a move for Roberto Alvarado turned down by Guadalajara, and the two clubs remain some way apart on a fee.

The Russian side offered around $15m, roughly €13m, for the 27-year-old winger, according to Super Deportivo and a Sport-Ekspress source. Guadalajara said no. By all accounts the Mexican club now want closer to €18m, Sport24 reports, and talks between the two sides continue.

Alvarado has been one of Guadalajara's sharper forwards this Apertura, with four goals and an assist in seven appearances. He joined the club from Cruz Azul in early 2022, having previously played for Necaxa, Pachuca and Celaya. Transfermarkt values him at €10m, well below the fee Guadalajara are holding out for.

Guadalajara have shown no urgency to sell one of their more productive attackers midway through the Apertura. If the gap between the two valuations does not close, the move may have to wait for a later window, and Spartak could yet look elsewhere.
