Jurgen Klopp has made the worst start of any Germany manager: 1 point from his first 2 matches.

Two managers began without a win before him, Sepp Herberger and Helmut Schon, and both opened with 2 draws for 2 points. Herberger drew 2-2 with Italy and the Netherlands in 1936 and 1937. Schon drew 1-1 with Sweden and Italy in 1964.

Both went on to long tenures. Herberger took charge in 1936 and stayed until 1964, and Schon ran the side from 1964 to 1978. Each won a World Cup.

Klopp is 59. In the opener Felix Nmecha put Germany ahead, and Cody Gakpo equalised late for the Netherlands. Against Greece, Dimitrios Kourbelis scored the only goal on 74 minutes, and it gave Klopp his first defeat as Germany manager.
