West Ham thrash Wrexham to go top of Championship
Bowen, Piroe, Mavropanos, Castellanos, Kante and Solomon all scored as West Ham beat Wrexham 6-0 at the London Stadium, making it four wins in a row.
West Ham United went 6-0 up over Wrexham at the London Stadium to move top of the Championship, their fourth straight league win under Nuno Espirito Santo.
Joel Piroe doubled the lead seven minutes before half-time, sweeping in after Taty Castellanos picked him out.
Konstantinos Mavropanos put the game beyond doubt three minutes into the second half, his header from a Bowen corner squeezing under Patterson.
Castellanos got his own goal in the 63rd minute after Kyle Walker-Peters drove Forward and squared the ball to him. Mohamadou Kante made it five, racing onto a Manor Solomon through ball, before Solomon completed the rout with seven minutes left.
Six goals, six different scorers. Wrexham, managed by Phil Parkinson, at least took something from the night away from the pitch: the visit produced a new attendance record for the Welsh side.
