CSKA Moscow Sent Anthony Martial's Profile

Anthony Martial's profile has been sent to CSKA Moscow by intermediaries in recent days, according to journalist Ivan Karpov, though the Moscow club says it is not in talks with the 30-year-old Frenchman.

Martial has been without a club since leaving Monterrey and is looking for wages of €3m a year net, which works out at around €4.3m before tax once the 30% non-resident rate is applied. By Karpov's count, no CSKA player currently earns that much.

The Telegram channel "Insaidy ot Karpa" reports that CSKA are working through a list of free agents and that Martial's profile is among them, but that there is no real interest in signing him. Russia's transfer window has closed, though clubs can still register free agents for a period afterwards, and CSKA are said to be fielding offers on a number of unattached players.

Martial made around 20 appearances for Monterrey, scoring once, and last played a competitive match in March. Before Mexico he had a spell at AEK. His main body of work remains the nine years at Manchester United, where he played 317 games and scored 90 goals. CSKA currently sit second in the Russian table.
