Andreas Christensen came off with a thigh injury in Barcelona's 3-1 win at Sevilla on Saturday, and Hansi Flick said the Denmark international faces "several weeks" out.
Raphinha finished with a hat-trick as Barcelona won 3-1, taking him to 11 LaLiga goals in seven games this season. Barcelona are next in action at home to Getafe on 10 October.
Christensen missed most of the second half of last season through injury, and Flick's side have already had to work around fitness problems at the back this month, with Eric García returning against Levante in a protective mask after a fractured nose.
