Gyokeres eyes Arsenal exit as Milan, Juventus circle

Viktor Gyokeres' camp has held initial talks with Milan and Juventus over a possible exit from Arsenal, according to CaughtOffside, with Saudi clubs Al Ahli and Al Ittihad also in the picture.

The Sweden international, 28, has slipped behind Kai Havertz in Mikel Arteta's pecking order and is said to be frustrated by it. Arteta left him out of the matchday squad entirely rather than turning to him from the bench once the transfer window had shut, a decision that hardened the sense he is now second choice at the Emirates.

On paper his first season in English football stood up: 21 goals in all competitions, top scorer as Arsenal won the Premier League for the first time in 22 years and. Underneath that, the hold-up play and aerial threat that made him a near-goal-a-game forward for Sporting never quite translated, and his Carabao Cup and European outings have done little to unseat Havertz as first-choice number nine.

Milan, still working out how to get the best from summer signing Goncalo Ramos under Ruben Amorim, have made exploratory contact. Juventus are weighing him up as part of a broader search for attacking reinforcements, with Luciano Spalletti's forwards only recently off the mark this season.

Arsenal are not actively looking to sell. Any move would most likely wait for January, and only then with a replacement lined up first — Gyokeres arrived from Sporting for €67m including add-ons in 2025, and the club would not want to go into the second half of the season short at centre-forward.

The interest surfaces three weeks after Arsenal beat Chelsea 2-1 in the derby, Havertz among the scorers, to move level on points with Manchester City. If Havertz keeps that form, Gyokeres' path back into the side only narrows further — and a January exit, unlikely as it still is on Arsenal's side, would hinge on whether one of Milan, Juventus or the Saudi clubs is willing to meet the asking price.
