Bayern Munich lead race for Morgan Gibbs-White
Bayern are reportedly frontrunners to sign Forest captain Gibbs-White next summer, hoping to pair him with Harry Kane, though Marinakis previously blocked a Spurs move.
The transfer window has already closed, leaving Forest to decide his future before the January 2025 window. Gibbs-White, the club's captain, has a goal and two assists in five Premier League appearances this season and has yet to hit top form.
Forest owner Evangelos Marinakis blocked a move to Tottenham, with a 2025 release clause, even after Spurs allegedly triggered a release clause in the midfielder's contract. Gibbs-White stayed and signed a new deal running to 2028.
Bayern's interest centres on pairing him with Harry Kane, his England teammate. Since joining from Wolverhampton Wanderers in 2022, Gibbs-White has scored 37 goals and set up 37 more in 176 appearances for Forest, and his versatility across Vincent Kompany's front line — which already includes Michael Olise, Jamal Musiala and Serge Gnabry — is seen as part of the appeal. Olise has scored 44 times for Bayern since arriving in August 2024.
Chelsea had also been credited with interest before turning instead to Aston Villa's Morgan Rogers, who scored the opening goal in Arsenal's 1-1 draw with Chelsea earlier this month and has four goals since his move in August 2024. Liverpool have been mentioned as well, given uncertainty over Florian Wirtz's availability from Leverkusen.
