Mbappé Names His Four Football Legends

Kylian Mbappé picked Messi, Cristiano Ronaldo, Ronaldo and Zidane as football's greatest, with two of them still playing professionally today.

Kylian Mbappé has named the four players he considers the greatest of all time: Lionel Messi, Cristiano Ronaldo, the Brazilian Ronaldo and Zinedine Zidane.

"My pantheon of footballers? In no particular order? Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo, without doubt. And also the Brazilian Ronaldo and Zinedine Zidane," Mbappé told Complex.

The Real Madrid and France forward, 27, has scored eight goals and added two assists in eight matches across all competitions this season.

Two of the names on his list remain active. Cristiano Ronaldo, now 41 and playing for Al-Nassr, was called up by Portugal again this month for four Nations League fixtures against Wales, Norway and Denmark, still the side's record scorer and caps leader. Messi, at Inter Miami, scored his 930th career goal with a 23rd-minute free kick against San Diego last weekend, a strike that also moved him to second on the all-time free-kick list, three behind record holder Marcelinho Carioca.
