Real Madrid preparing new Jude Bellingham contract

Real Madrid are preparing a new contract for Jude Bellingham, with a signature expected in the coming weeks, according to The Touchline. His current deal runs to June 2029.

Matteo Moretto, speaking on Radio MARCA's 'La Pizarra' (via Sport), said Bellingham is the next major player the club intend to tie down. The reported length differs. Moretto's version takes the midfielder to 2030 or 2031; the Russian-language press has written of mid-2032.

The move is not thought to stem from any worry over the existing contract. The club want his pay to match his standing. Bellingham is estimated to earn around €20.83m gross a year, against about €31.25m for Vinicius Junior, who recently extended to 2032, and, by all accounts, Kylian Mbappe.

Since joining from Borussia Dortmund in 2023, Bellingham has made 148 appearances for Real Madrid, scoring 49 goals and providing 36 assists.

If the deal is signed on those terms, Bellingham, Vinicius and Mbappe would all be on long-term contracts, and the gap between the three in wages would be much narrower.
