Andriy Shevchenko turns 50

Andriy Shevchenko turned 50 on Tuesday, and both clubs where he made his name marked the occasion on social media.
At Milan he won the Serie A title, the Coppa Italia and the Champions League, and in 2004 he was awarded the Ballon d'Or. His time at Chelsea yielded the FA Cup and the League Cup. He also played for Dynamo Kyiv earlier in his career. For Ukraine he won 111 caps and scored 48 goals.
Shevchenko has been president of the Ukrainian Association of Football since 2024.
