Aliyah Farmer

Aaliyah Farmer's move to Tigres UANL made her a Liga MX Femenil champion within a year of turning professional. Her departure from the club, six months later, made headlines for a different reason.

Farmer signed her first professional contract with Tigres on 14 January 2025, arriving from USC, where she had spent four seasons and 80 appearances as a defender, scoring nine goals and helping the Trojans win the Big Ten Conference regular-season title in 2024. She had also come through Slammers FC in her youth, earning ECNL All-American honours, and was named Orange County's Player of the Year as a schoolgirl at Villa Park High.

At Tigres, Farmer made 26 appearances and scored three goals, including the decisive strike in a 2-0 win over Portland Thorns in the CONCACAF W Champions Cup semi-final in May 2025. She won the Apertura title with the club that year. In February 2026, head coach Pedro Losa said Farmer had left Tigres because of harassment and a feeling of being unsafe, a statement made public shortly before her exit. She signed a three-year contract with Chicago Stars FC on 3 February 2026 and made her debut for the club on 15 March 2026.

Farmer plays international football for Mexico. She has won five caps, scoring once, in a 1-0 friendly win over New Zealand on 23 October 2025. She was named in Mexico's squad for the Pinatar Cup in February 2025 but missed the tournament through injury.
