About the player
The road to Grozny began in Makhachkala's youth football system, where Gadzhiev started out at RDYUSSh before moving through Anji's academy and then Dynamo Moscow's Makhachkala branch. When the club he had come up through was reborn as Dynamo Makhachkala, he stayed with it, making his professional debut in March 2021 and scoring 21 goals in 104 appearances.
That spell brought two contrasting seasons worth remembering. In 2021/22, as Dynamo won the Second Division group, Gadzhiev was named the division's best young player. Two years later, the club reached the Russian First League and finished as runners-up.
He also had a loan-style detour to the club's reserve side, Dynamo-2, across the 2023–2024 seasons.
In June 2025, Akhmat Grozny signed Gadzhiev on a four-year deal, a transfer reported at around half a million euros.
