About the player
Football runs in the family for Alexey Kasadzhikov: he is the twin brother of fellow footballer Andrei Kasadzhikov. He spent his early years in the Zenit system, joining the club's youth school in 2022 before moving up into the Zenit academy at the end of 2024. That progression paid off in 2025, when he was part of the Zenit youth side that won the Youth League.
By the 2025–2026 season Kasadzhikov had broken into Zenit-2, the club's reserve team in the Russian Second League, gaining regular experience in senior football. In July 2026 he made the move away from Zenit for the first time, signing a five-year contract with Akhmat Grozny. The transfer fee was not disclosed.
At Akhmat, the forward has taken the number 97 shirt as he looks to build on the pedigree he showed in Zenit's youth ranks at senior level.
