André Ferreira

Fifty-two seconds into his debut for Real Valladolid, against Getafe in August 2024, André Ferreira made the error that let in the opening goal. This led to a season that ran out after nine league appearances, an elbow injury in March 2025, and a contract terminated by mutual agreement that July.

He had come through the academy at Benfica, playing 40 league matches for the B side across 2015/16 and 2016/17 before loans took him to Leixões — 32 league games and three in the cups — and Desportivo das Aves. A move to Santa Clara in 2019 was followed by a season at Paços de Ferreira, where he was first choice. In total, his years in Portugal brought 62 competitive matches, 44 of them in the Primeira Liga.

Spain came in 2022. Ferreira played 11 matches in Granada's 2022/23 campaign, which ended with the Segunda title and promotion, and 15 more in the top flight the following year.

His final significant appearance at Valladolid came in May 2025 against Barcelona. Coming out of his goal, he gave the ball to Raphinha, who scored; later in the 1–2 defeat he produced an important save from Ansu Fati. The same season also brought a suspension for a red card shown while he was on the bench.

Internationally, he has one appearance for Portugal's under-17s, a 2–2 draw with Belgium in 2014, and was called into an under-21 squad for a match against Liechtenstein in 2018 without playing. In 2016, aged 20, he was watched by Liverpool as a long-term option.

He returned to Portugal in the summer of 2025, joining Moreirense on a free transfer with a contract to 2028.
