About the player
Since 2023 the goalkeeper has made 13 appearances for the Lithuania under-19 side, featuring in UEFA European Under-19 Championship qualifying and the 2024 Baltic Cup at that age group. In 2025 he stepped up to the under-21 team, where he has since added two further caps.
At club level, Vaitonavičius now wears the number 51 shirt for Benfica B , the Portuguese giant's development side, where he is registered in the current campaign. He plays minutes in the Liga Portugal 2, Portugal's professional second tier, alongside appearances in the Liga Revelação, the country's under-23 competition. He continues to feature at youth level for his country.
