About the player
Mykytyshyn started out in western Ukraine, coming through Arsenal in Tysmenychany and Skala Morshyn before a spell at VIK-Volyn. In 2019 he joined Shakhtar Donetsk's academy, working his way through the club's youth and reserve sides. That grounding brought international recognition early: he made 13 appearances and scored twice for Ukraine's under-17s, then added six caps at under-19 level.
His path to first-team football ran through loan spells rather than a breakthrough at Shakhtar itself. A 2021 loan to Mariupol gave him his first senior minutes — 11 appearances and a goal. A move to Hungary followed, on loan at III. Kerületi in 2022, before he returned to Ukraine with Kryvbas, where he had two separate loan stints either side of a full move to Oleksandriya between 2023 and 2024.
Mykytyshyn joined LNZ Cherkasy in 2026 in midfield.
