About the player
Bohdan Mykhailichenko came through Kyiv's youth system, moving from the Knyazha academy in Schaslyve to Dynamo Kyiv, where he made his first-team debut in 2015. Loan spells followed at Stal Kamianske and then Zorya Luhansk, and in June 2019 the move to Zorya was made permanent as part of a deal involving Oleksandr Karavaev. He was named the Ukrainian league's player of the month three times, in September, December and March.
The form earned him a move abroad, to Anderlecht in August 2020. He spent three seasons in Belgium, interrupted by a loan back to Ukraine at Shakhtar Donetsk, where he scored twice in 25 appearances. A spell at Dinamo Zagreb followed before he joined Polessya in the summer of 2024.
His full international debut came on 3 September 2020 in a Nations League match against Switzerland, a 2-1 win in which he set up a goal. He has since earned 14 caps for Ukraine and was named in the extended squad for Euro 2024.
Mykhailichenko has won the Ukrainian championship twice, with Dynamo Kyiv in 2014/15 and with Shakhtar in 2022/23, and added the Ukrainian Cup in 2014/15 and the Croatian league title with Dinamo Zagreb. With Polessya, he took bronze in the 2025/26 Ukrainian championship.
