About the player
Cuenca produced few goalkeepers with as long a run in one place as Brian Heras. He made his professional debut for Deportivo Cuenca in 2013, aged eighteen, and stayed with the club for the best part of a decade, working his way through until 2021 as the side's option between the posts.
The move to LDU Quito in 2022 put him at one of Ecuador's most decorated clubs, a step up in competition and expectation from the team that had shaped him. He spent two seasons there before the switch to Delfín SC, where he now wears the number 21 shirt.
