About the player
Butta Magomedov came through Moscow region academies before turning professional — spells at Bronnitsy's youth school, CSO Lokomotiv-2 and UOR Master-Saturn set up his move into the amateur ranks with UOR No. 5 in 2013. His breakthrough followed a year later at Saturn Ramenskoye, where he made 47 appearances and scored 11 goals. A loan spell at Znamya Truda added 26 more appearances and three goals to his early record.
Chaika, based in Peschanokopskoye, gave Magomedov 39 appearances and three goals from 2018. It was during a subsequent campaign, in 2020/2021, that his form earned him a place in Sportbox.ru's FNL team of the season.
He joined Khimki in February 2022. Across three and a half seasons he made 93 appearances and scored 11 goals, and in 2023/2024 he was part of the squad that won the Russian First League, finishing with 81 points and securing promotion to the Russian Premier League. He played 32 matches and scored four goals in 2024/25, before deciding to leave the club at the end of that campaign.
