About the player
He spent nearly a decade with Guangzhou City, formerly known as Guangzhou R&F, joining in 2014 and staying through to 2022, with the club sending him out on loan twice along the way — first to Guizhou Zhicheng in 2017, then to Wuhan Zall in 2019.
The left-footed winger began his football education at the Gao Fengwen Football School before progressing through Guangdong Youth, where he later turned senior in 2011. After leaving Guangzhou City, he moved through Tianjin Jinmen Tiger, Shanghai Jiading Huilong and Foshan Nanshi, with a stint at Dongguan United also on his record.
Born in Fuyang, Anhui, Chang represented China at under-23 level at the 2014 Asian Games, where the side finished fourth.
