Cristopher Javier Fiermarín Forlán

Cristopher Fiermarín came off the bench in November 2023 against Racing Club and saved a penalty from Gonzalo Piovi — the kind of moment that gets replayed more than most of a goalkeeper's season. It was one of the few chances he had in his early years to show what he could do when the ball reached him.

His path started at Defensor Sporting, though he never made it into the first team there. A loan to Montevideo City Torque changed that: he moved there permanently in 2019 and helped the club win the Uruguayan Segunda División the same year. A loan spell at Belgian side Lommel SK followed, before he returned to Montevideo City Torque, where he stayed through 2024.

Defensa y Justicia signed him on loan in 2023 and made the move permanent the following June, buying 60% of his economic rights and tying him to a four-year contract. In 2025 he went out on loan again, this time to Colombia's Deportes Tolima, where his spell brought both trouble and controversy. In August, a misjudged pass back to his own goalkeeper let Millonarios score, and Fiermarín apologised publicly afterwards. The following month, in a match against Boyacá Chicó, he lost consciousness on the pitch and had to be substituted — an incident serious enough that Dimayor, the Colombian league, fined the club over how it was handled.

At international level, Fiermarín has represented Uruguay at under-17 and under-23 level, including the 2020 pre-Olympic tournament, before earning his first senior cap in October 2025 in a friendly win over the Dominican Republic.
