About the player
Emiliano Martínez made his professional debut at Nacional in September 2019. By the following year he already held back-to-back Uruguayan championship medals with the club.
Brazil came calling in August 2021, when Red Bull Bragantino paid around €3.4m for him.
In January 2025 Palmeiras signed him for €7.15m and gave him the number 32 shirt.
He was named in Uruguay's squad for the 2024 Copa América, where the team finished third, and has since been included in the squad for the 2026 World Cup.
