About the player
David Preu came through Union Berlin's academy after arriving from FC Viktoria 1889 Berlin, and signed his first professional contract with the club in October 2024. The loan season that followed his development came at VfR Aalen, where he made 30 appearances in the Regionalliga during the 2023–24 campaign.
That push paid off on 12 April 2025, when Preu made his Bundesliga debut against Bayer Leverkusen.
In July 2026 he left on a permanent, free transfer to VfB Stuttgart II, signing a contract running until 30 June 2028. The move closed his time at Union Berlin and opened a new stage of his career with Stuttgart's second team.
