Hayden Durose

Wollongong Wolves had gone 31 years without a premiership when Hayden Durose was in goal for the side that finally ended the barren spell in the 2019–20 National Premier Leagues NSW season. The club had waited more than three decades; Durose was the starting goalkeeper through it.

The following year brought another first. The Wolves reached the round of 16 of the FFA Cup in 2021, further than the club had gone before in the competition, with Durose again between the posts. He left the club in 2022.

His football has been rooted in the Illawarra region of New South Wales. Before the Wolves he played for Wollongong Olympic, and in January 2023 he dropped into the Illawarra Premier League with Albion Park White Eagles. He was a central figure in the side that won the 2023 premiership, and he stayed with Albion Park through the 2025 season.

The move to TSC Bačka Topola in the Serbian Second League took him out of Australia for the first time in his senior career. He wears number 33 there.

Durose has not been capped by Australia at senior or youth level. He has played in an All-Stars fixture organised by Australia Fiji Football Incorporated. No individual honours are on his record.
