About the player
Daan Bisshops signed his first professional contract with Fortuna Sittard on 11 April 2023, one day after turning 18. Fortuna's own description of him as a "Geleender" ties his roots to the town where his football began.
Bisshops made his Eredivisie debut on 10 May 2024 against PEC Zwolle, starting the match and playing 89 minutes before being replaced. A week later he was named among the substitutes for the game against Utrecht but did not get onto the pitch.
The move takes effect from 1 July 2026, with Bisshops putting pen to paper on a contract running to 30 June 2028, plus a club option for a further season.
