About the player
Daniël Beukers' name barely appears in transfer records: it is a career built on being picked up rather than bought.
He came through the youth ranks at IJsselmeervogels before joining AZ Alkmaar's academy in 2018, signing his first professional contract there in January 2021. Beukers scored three goals across that campaign, including two in a quarter-final against Real Madrid. He also earned a single cap for the Netherlands under-20s that March, in a 2-1 win over France.
Injuries and competition for places limited him to seven league appearances there in 2024/25, and Volendam won the Eerste Divisie title that season.
Emmen took him on a season-long loan from Volendam in July 2025, and he has worn the number 22 shirt since.
