Dante Stipica

In August 2023, a team-mate landed on Dante Stipica's neck. Stipica said afterwards that he had "almost been left paralysed", while the club and its doctors judged him fit to play. When the goalkeeper set out the seriousness of the injury on social media, contradicting the official line, the coaching staff removed him from the first team and moved him to the reserves, giving no formal reason. On 31 August 2023. In January 2024 he confirmed he had been treating the injury until mid-October, and declined to discuss the rest.

He joined Pogoń Szczecin as a free agent in 2019 and played 142 matches across five seasons, 133 of them in the Ekstraklasa. In 2020/21 he started all 30 league games and was named the division's best goalkeeper.

Stipica came through the Hajduk Split academy after two years at Dalmatinac Split, and was added to the senior squad in 2009. Between 2009 and 2013 he was farmed out to the lower leagues for playing time — GOŠK Kaštela, Solin, Zmaj Makarska, Primorac Stobreč. He played in the 2009/10 Croatian Cup semi-final against Osijek and collected a winner's medal, though Daniel Subašić kept goal in the final against Rijeka. A knee injury in 2014 ended his season.

He left for CSKA Sofia in June 2018, again on a free. In February 2026, after terminating his Pogoń contract by mutual consent, he signed at Hajduk until 30 June 2027, with first-choice keeper Ivica Ivušić injured.
