Danylo Sikan

Zhytomyr produced Danylo Sikan through the local Polissya youth school. He made his senior debut for the Lviv club in August 2018, but the move that shaped his career came a few months later: in January 2019, Shakhtar Donetsk paid around €150,000 to bring the forward into their system.

Shakhtar loaned him out twice to build up first-team experience, sending him to Mariupol and later to Hansa Rostock in Germany. Back in Donetsk, Sikan became a fixture in the league side. Over his time at Shakhtar he collected two Ukrainian league titles, a domestic cup and a Super Cup.

Sikan has also represented Ukraine at youth and senior level. He was part of the side that won the Under-20 World Cup in 2019 and picked up the tournament's Silver Boot, and he captained Ukraine's Under-23 team at the 2024 Olympics after they had won the Toulon Tournament that year. His senior debut came in September 2021 in a World Cup qualifier against Kazakhstan, a match in which he also scored his first international goal.

In January 2025, Sikan left Shakhtar for Trabzonspor in a deal reported at between €6m and €10m with bonuses, going on to make 27 league appearances and score four goals in Turkey. Anderlecht signed him for €4m plus €500,000 in add-ons and a 20% sell-on clause. He has since scored in both the Belgian league and the Europa League for his new club.
